Most of the reasons for this weirdmobile Elmo gave at his Kickstarter / stock pump years ago were fake. Exoskeleton. Bulletproof. Radically simpler to make.
Stainless is hard to bend. It’s hard to bend consistently because of variations in stainless rolls. Flat, unpainted stainless shows smudges and ripples.
The real point of Elmo’s Goobertruck was a futurish stock pump, like “robotaxi” and “robot.” Mission accomplished for now. They’ll have to pivot to a less wack design for actual mass sales.
